I am grateful for date night. We went out for dinner, then walked around some of the beaches on Dallas Road just south of downtown. It’s really pretty down there.
I am grateful for a quiet day.
I am grateful for some cooler weather.
I am grateful for pizza.

I am grateful for a relaxed evening. A simple dinner and lots of time spent reading with each of my boys.
I am grateful for Julie. Not too long ago we crossed the threshold where our relationship is older than we were when it began. I’ve known more of this life with her than without. I’m grateful that we’ve invested the effort to grow and tend our relationship. I’m grateful for the dumb luck that contributed to me being in the right place at the right time with her, too.
I am grateful for drywall repair, and ordering up paint that matches the old paint nicely, and a successful little wall repair project that made it look like double stick tape never cussed up the wall in the suite in our house.
I am grateful for pizza.

I am grateful for a kid free night. I went and saw Spotlight. It was good. I saw it at the movie theatre at the Student’s Union Building at UVic. I have a lot of great memories there. It is good to be back now and again.
I am grateful for the kindness of strangers. A while ago a friend of a friend of a friend on Facebook who likes to draw other folks from photos posted online said they were looking for men to draw. Another friend tagged me in that post. The artist asked for my consent to be drawn and I eagerly agreed, and today I was tagged in a post that’s a drawing of yours truly. I’m flattered and honoured. Thanks, Belinda!
I am grateful for Farley, who was grateful for 5 big strawberries on his fingers.
