Gratitude

I am grateful for a productive work day.

I am grateful for the app on my computer that allows me to block access to sites like Facebook for a specified amount of time. Sometimes, I know I am disteactable, and it’s helpful. I am not proud of this, but I am grateful for it.

I am grateful for time spent with Julie tonight while my folks took care of the kids.

Gratitude

I am grateful for a productive day working quietly in my quiet garagenous zone.

I am grateful for the opportunity to catch a fleeting glimpse of a buddy of mine who just became a new father. We dropped off some frozen soup and hightailed it out of there; the baby was sleeping, and everyone there is exhausted. I am happy for him. I miss my kids as babies. That’s a special time, but I am grateful to be on the other side of the exhaustion and the stress of it!

I am grateful for some free childminding from my folks so that Julie and I could go see a movie. We saw Arrival, and we both really enjoyed it.

Gratitude

I am grateful for a busy day that went smoothly.

I am grateful for a campfire on the beach for Coop’s Cub pack this evening. I am also grateful we got through that meeting. 8-10 year olds have a predeliction to chaos and noise that is challenging to contend with at times.

I am grateful that Farley was able to come, too.

I am grateful for a clear sky with lots of stars on that beach. Nothing makes me feel more grounded and aware of my place in this universe than an unobstructed view of the stars, a planet or two, and the horizon.

Gratitude

I am grateful for nice folks to hang out with at a kid birthday party this morning.

I am grateful for a great walk around Matheson Lake with children, spouse, cousins, and parents today.

I am grateful to be home and just about ready for bed. I’m bushed!
