I am grateful for some fine weather today.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be present for the baptism of an old friend’s kiddo.
I am grateful for time spent week whacking in the yard while Farley swung in the swing and bounced on the trampoline with the sprinkler running.
I am grateful for time spent listening to Cooper read his French books from school.
I am grateful for a full day.
I am grateful for time at the studio this morning.
I am grateful for Karate class. Both my boys are ROCKING IT.
I am grateful for time alone in the house this afternoon. I got a few house projects done (including a rack of hooks to hang pots and pans in the kitchen), and that felt good.
I am grateful for supper. Julie made daal. I made chicken jalfrezi. It was divine.
I am grateful for time spent reading to my kids. One of them, anyway. We were all tucked in to Farley’s bed. I read The Lorax, but Coop was reading his own book.
I am grateful for a fun evening with friends. Our kids played, then watched a movie while the grownups enjoyed great food, wine, and conversation. Great stuff!
I am grateful, though somewhat ambivalent, for the kind of night one has when they fall asleep with their kids putting them to bed, then wakes up in the middle of the night and has the whole, quiet house to themselves for a couple of hours, even though they know they should be sleeping.
I am grateful for a full day of parenting, working, and painting.
I am grateful to be in bed. I’m bushed!
I am grateful for a bike ride with my kids this morning to get them where they needed to go.
I am grateful for time spent in the studio.
I am grateful for Coop’s teacher, and his school. We had a student led conference today. It was nice to see a glimpse of his world.
I am grateful for a productive evening in the garagenous zone.
I am grateful for the hug I get and give to Cooper every morning when I drop him off at school.
I am grateful for a ride on the acoustic bike.
I am grateful for a productive day in the garagenous zone.
I am grateful for some bedtime stories with that Farley guy.
I am grateful for maple cookies that Julie brought home.
I am grateful for a hum drum day.
I am grateful for an opportunity to have lunch with Julie today.
I am grateful for some time spent in the painting studio today
I am grateful for some time spent biking around the tarmac at Cooper’s school with Coop, his buddy, and Farley after dinner tonight. I am grateful for blue skies and a warm evening for that, too.
I am grateful for a fun overnight trip to Science World in Vancouver. Soon after we had breakfast this morning Coop and I said our goodbyes and we parted ways with the rest of the Cubs.
I am grateful for a chance to walk in the stables and see the horses race from the other side of the racetrack at Hastings Park. My father in law owns a share of a racehorse, and he took us all to check that out. It was pretty cool; it’s hard for me to believe that I lived in Vancouver for 12 years and had never been.
I am grateful for time spent reading to Farley and rubbing his back at bedtime.
I am grateful for an action packed day.
I am grateful for warm hospitality at my inlaws, and for the familiar comfort of their home.
I am grateful for a fun day hanging out with Coop and his buddies in the Cub pack. We strolled around Granville island and ate spaghetti in Gastown before an overnight program at a science world.
I am grateful for my backpacking cot. This thing rocks.
I am grateful that the lights are out. I’m bushed!
I am grateful for some more fine weather.
I am grateful for some time at the studio today.
I am grateful for views of Mt. Baker from the ferry, and the sighting of several great blue herons, and 39 bald eagles on the way in to Vancouver.
I am grateful for Giant Panda (GP), who greeted us at Nana and Pop’s tonight.
I am grateful for my smart phone. In an attempt to reduce my media intake, I switched to a flip phone a few weeks ago. I’ve switched back temporarily in case I need maps etc while we’re on the road, and that’s why there are lots of photos in this blog post.
