I am grateful for an awesome friend, who gave my boys a chalkboard they can carry around with them.
I am grateful for the drawing on it Farley made while we drove to school this morning.
I am grateful for a pirate play I got to see that was put on by Cooper and his class at school.
I am grateful for time spent with my boys tonight. I needed to spend some time getting organized for an art event I am participating in; the boys spent their time drilling, hammering, and sawing some cool projects of their own making.
I am grateful for a sighting and the acquisition of photographic evidence of the bunny that’s been stalking our lawn for the past few days. There had been rumours in our household, but I hadn’t laid eyes on it until today.
I am grateful for a night out with Julie tonight. We saw Baby Driver, and it was great. It might be the best kind of that kind of movie that I’ve ever seen.
I am grateful for a day spent biking my kids around, and not being in a car at all.
I am grateful to be in bed. It’s been an action packed few days without a lot of downtime, and I’m pooped!
I am grateful for Farley’s life size portrait of himself as Ninja Batman that he made at daycare.
I am grateful for Coop’s last Cub meeting of the year. We had them out in kayaks, tootling around Cadboro Bay. It was fun.
I am grateful for time in the studio this morning.
I am grateful for a fun day with my lads. We went to Costco, which is somehow fun for us. I can’t explain that. We then went to the beach at Mt. Doug Park, then to see the new Pixar Cars movie, and finally to a Vietnamese restaurant for some Pho. Hard to beat all that!
I am grateful they are in bed though. I like hanging out with those guys, but I also like having enough uninterrupted contiguous seconds to finish a thought every now and again, too.
I am grateful for some time at the studio this morning
I am grateful for a fun day of crabbing and picnicking, playing and exploring around in Sidney today with my inlaws. This time we brought a camp stove and prepared the crustaceans in boiling seawater we got off the dock. It was a great way to prepare them, and a terrific time we had out there.
I am grateful for nice weather for the bike ride I took with the boys to get them where they needed to go this morning.
I am grateful for online grocery shopping.
I grateful for time at the studio.
I am grateful for a visit from my brother in law. Know how to make my kids so excited they can’t contain themselves? A visit from uncle Drew. That’s how.
I am grateful for the a pleasant walk this morning.
I am grateful for open source software.
I grateful for board games with Farley tonight.
I am grateful for stories this evening. Coop read one of his favourites from when he was little to Farley (Chicka Chicka Boom Boom). So sweet!
I am grateful for a smooth day, with a to-do list of many items, all of which were crossed off.
I am grateful for a good chunk of time at the studio this evening.
I am grateful for time spent getting a display ready for Gorge on Art and the Moss St. Paint-in, both coming up in the next several weeks. I am also grateful to the ocean for surrendering some driftwood for the project.
I am grateful for time spent with my boys tonight. Julie was out. We made lasagne. Farley cleared and set the table. I made lemonade, which we drank out of fancy glasses. We then read stories at bedtime, all 3 of us in Farley’s bed. It was nice.
