I am grateful for time at the studio.
I am grateful for a productive afternoon.
I am grateful for a great Hallowe’en night. The weather was clear, the sunset amazing, the streets thick with excited kids in costume, and our neighbourhood is awesome.
I am grateful for time in the studio this morning. First time I had a good chunk of time in there for a few days.
I grateful for a productive day in the garage, too.
I am grateful for several good long hugs from Farley today. My day starts with one when I drop him off at school. Coop and I still do a friendly quick hug everyday too, except the odd time when he’s shy around his buddies, we have a fist bump protocol for those situations. These daily goodbye hugs won’t last forever. In the meantime, I’m soaking it up as much as I can for as long as I can.
I grateful for the pumpkin carving night at Cubs. They were all really into it.
I am grateful for a bit of time at the studio this morning.
I am grateful for more backgammon with Coop.
I am grateful for a matinee of Onegin at the Belfry. Holy shemoley, if you are in Victoria, do yourself a favour and go see it. It was fantastic.
I am grateful for time spent reading with the boys at bedtime.
I am grateful for time spent with Coop today. He played backgammon for the first time on a board I picked up at a thrift store the other day. Great game, that.
I am grateful for a night out with Julie. We walked downtown to see The Florida Project, which was a pretty great film, even though it wasn’t the escape I was looking for, nor a terrific date movie. The walk was good, anyway, and i’m glad I saw the show.
I am grateful for a productive day in the garagenous zone.
I am grateful for family fun night: my pick. We went on a ghost tour of Point Ellice House, which was cool and interesting for me, but perhaps a little too boring and horrifying for the younger folk among us. Still, it’s a cool spot, and there was candy, so on the whole it was a pretty good event.
If the evening needed saving, we definitely did save it with ice cream from the Beacon Hill Drive In afterward. Always a great treat.
I am grateful for some success in the fine art biz today.
I am grateful for time in the studio this morning.
I am grateful for lunch with Julie.
I am grateful for Farley’s Beavers Halloween party. Everyone was in costume. Kids were excited. It was fun!
I am grateful for a chance to spend time with Coop and his class when I volunteered with them today. I got to squeak in a quick hello to Farley during his lunchtime, too.
I don’t often get to see those guys in their day to day school environment. It’s nice to see them being who they are with their peers. Makes me proud of those jokers.
I am grateful for time in the studio this evening.
I am grateful for some really nice light and fall colours after walking the kids to school this morning.
I am grateful for a productive day.
I am grateful for time spent with my boys this evening. Farley made drying rack blanket forts while Coop and I finished up his Halloween costume.
I am grateful for time spent painting after the boys were in bed.
I am grateful for Cooper’s Beaver meeting. hose kids get pretty worked up and unruly, but they love having fun and learning how to do stuff, and it’s a privilege to watch them do that.
Ian grateful for time in at the studio today.
I am grateful for helpful kids at supper time, grating cheese for burritos, for which I also have gratitude.
I am grateful for roasted pumpkin seeds. Julie NAILED them!
