Gratitude

I am grateful for a few days of less grid. I’ve switched back to the dumb phone for a while.

I am grateful for a fun trip to Vancouver. We went to fisherman’s wharf in Steveston, saw the East Van Panto (which was terrific), hung out with my in-laws, and made lots of plans that didn’t quite happen; but what the heck can you do, sometimes that’s how it goes. All in all, a good and safe trip.

I am grateful to have had coffee today with someone I loved once, a long time ago, that I haven’t seen for 24 years. This isn’t something I am accustomed to doing. It was great to reconnect.

I am grateful for new glasses. With this one pair of glasses, I can see things that are near, and also see things that are far. The world is a place full of wonder and amazement!

I am grateful for every delicious thing Julie makes this time of year.

I am grateful for Coop’s Cub meeting tonight. It came together really nicely and it was as enjoyable as always to watch those guys problem solve and have fun.

Gratitude

I am grateful for a start on a new painting. I bought my biggest canvas yet this morning, 60×30″. Can’t wait to get paint on it!

I am grateful for a productive day in the garagenous zone.

I am grateful to be part of the 2017 Cedar Hill Artists Exhibition. It’s a great collection of work. I am amazed by the talent in that group of people. We attended the opening tonight. Farley and Coop were grateful for the free cookies.

Gratitude

I am grateful for sushi Julie brought home for lunch.

I am grateful for Coop’s Christmas concert at school. I love those things.

I am grateful for time spent with Farley raking up leaves. He helped out with his wagon and Tonka digger. Then he jumped in the leaf pile again and again.

Gratitude

I am grateful for the avacado tomato mozzarella and jalepeno sandwich I made for lunch. All I need in life sometimes is a good sandwich. Simple pleasures are the best kind.

I am grateful for time spent with Farley and Coop tonight listening to cd’s on shuffle and buiding lego.

Gratitude

I am grateful for Francis Sullivan. I’ve said before, I’m saying it now, I’ll say it again. If you are an artist who wants to reproduce their artwork, he’s the only guy to call.

I am grateful for lunch out with my folks.

I am grateful for a walking tour of Christmas stuff downtown with Cooper’s Cub pack. Farley came, too, and my parents, too, for a little bit.

Gratitude

I am grateful for a full day. I did it all. Gym, studio, selling trees for scouts, buying a tree, out for dinner with my family and parents, stockings for all my family from my parents, setting up the tree. I can hardly believe I summed it up like that in one sentence.

And now I’m bushed, and ready for bed, but it’s early, and I am grateful for that, too.

Gratitude

I am grateful for a productive morning. All kinds of errands accomplished by noon, even with a few extra kids around from sleepovers with our boys last night.

I am grateful for my parents, who arrived for a visit today.

I am grateful for Coop. We discovered that the Disco station on iTunes was common ground for us today.

I am grateful for Farley. That kid is non-stop, and he’s a trooper.
