I am grateful for a fun visit from an old Vancouver pal and his two kiddos today.
I am grateful for time spent in the studio.
I am grateful for family fun night: Julie’s pick. I met up with the rest of the crew at Fisherman’s wharf, where they’d already arrived via harbour ferry. We ate dinner there, then harbour ferried back to the inner harbour, then went home and played a board game.
I am grateful for time spent reading Dr. Seuss to Farley tonight.
I am grateful for a productive day where lots of cuss got done.
I am grateful for Settlers of Catan Jr. Julie picked a set up today and we had a few good games.
I am grateful for time spent in the studio today, starting in on a new painting.
I am grateful for Ready Player One. I really enjoyed the book, and tonight I really enjoyed the movie. There was a lot that was changed or omitted from the book for the film, but I was okay with that. It made me want to re-read it!
I am grateful for time spent with my lovely spouse today.
I am grateful for time spent at the studio this evening.
I am grateful for those moments when eating mixed nuts when you come across a macadamia. I’m not exaggerating when I say that it makes the whole burden of human existence seem worth it.
It’s not at all as good when eating from a jar that contains only macadamia nuts. Mixed nuts offer the thrill of the hunt, and the potential of a gift from blind luck, and its conspiracy with all of the forces in the universe itself.
I truly believe that finding a macadamia is an encounter with the divine in this life.
I am grateful for a good day if puttering; cleaning up junk from the garage, getting some small projects done.
I am grateful for lunch out at Subway with my lads.
I am grateful for a rare glimpse of the formal Coop, who’s got a date to go to the theatre with Julie tonight.
I am grateful for a night in wrasslin’ on the trampoline and watching an episode of Star Trek with Farley.
I am grateful for a full Saturday that unfolded at a slow pace.
I am grateful for Coop’s help in repairing the roof on our bike shelter.
I am grateful for Farley, who I enjoyed a dance party with this afternoon; the kitchen radio was blaring Rock and Roll by the Velvet Underground.
I am grateful for homemade pizza and a screening of The Justice League in our living room this evening.
I am grateful for time in the studio this afternoon.
I am grateful for family fun night: my pick. We went for Korean fried chicken, then for a walk around Macaulay Point, where there are bunch of abandoned military ramparts that date back to the late 1800s, and then we ended the evening with a trip to Dairy Queen. Great stuff!
I am grateful for time spent at the studio this afternoon.
I am grateful for an impromptu dinner at our place with friends, and the shows that Farley and his pal put together for us, that mostly involved dancing and screaming and lighting effects from a reading lamp controlled from the top bunk in the boys’ bedroom.
I am grateful for time at the studio today.
I am grateful for time spent reading with my boys tonight.
I am grateful for leftovers.
