I am grateful for a morning I spent sleeping in today. That there’s a silver lining, I suppose.

I am grateful for Farley, who has been challenging me to a pre-lunch tickle fight the last few days. That kid has loved that kind of thing for as long as he’s been alive.

I am grateful for these days spent with those kiddos. They drive me crazy fairly regularly, but it’s been rewarding and fun too. As we spend our time sequestered in this time of physical distancing, we are making memories that will define the relationship that my children and I will share for the rest of our lives.

I am grateful for free worksheets found online so the boys could do some math work. I introduced Coop to exponents today. We even got into the pythagorean theorem a bit. He picked it up quick!

I am grateful for bounty from the grocery store that Julie brought home today.

I am grateful for dinner tonight. I made lettuce wraps. They were tasty as all heck and everyone gobbled it up like crazy.

I am grateful for time spent playing D&D with those guys. We explored the ruins of an ancient dwarven temple, having defeated a few monsters in there last time.

I am grateful for more good weather today.

I am grateful for the functionality of my utility trailer. I took a load to the dump this morning, and stopped by the lumber store to get all the stuff for a tree house on the way back.

I am grateful for a good day with my kids. They are good people, although of course, I am biased.

I am grateful for a movie tonight in our livingroom. Julie and I watched Molly’s game. It was good. I’d recommend it.
