I am grateful for time spent with my lads today. Coop and I got some work done on the treehouse, and Farley created a terrific mini-golf hole with dirt, bricks, a broken hockey stick, and a ping pong ball.
I am grateful for beard balm that Julie made for me. It smells good.
I am grateful for Cooper’s teacher. She’s writing and developing a role playing game to teach the history of the Klondike gold rush, and is finding ways for kids to work in teams remotely to make decisions together. I am grateful for the time, effort and talent that it takes to make something like that, particularly in this general psychological environment of overwhelm and anxiety. Often, one thing that can fix a mood like that is the experience of art. She’s found an inspiring way to apply creative expression to create an experience for the kids in Cooper’s class, and I am grateful for it.
