I am grateful for my pal Robert, who showed up with a care package that included dinner for the 4 of us, including a pie and enough for leftovers, and a beer. So kind!
I am grateful for my kids, who are stepping up, sometimes begrudgingly but stepping up nonetheless, to take care of more of the stuff that just needs to get done around the house. It comes directly off of Julie’s shoulders when they do, and she’s got.a.lot to bear right now.
I am grateful for family fun night, Cooper’s pick: burgers and a movie. We watched the second Transformers movie, which was rated at one star. That was one star more than it deserved, imho, but it’s nice to enjoy a shared experience anyway, and to his credit, Cooper did apologize for picking it when it was over.
I am grateful for Julie, who is doing all the things, and is awesome, like a a whole handful of blue beach glass.
