I am grateful for time spent at Goldstream with my family and some friends. Going there to see the salmon run has become an annual ritual for us. It’s a spectacle to behold. It never ceases to amaze me how this environment is so conducive to living things. Everywhere you look, every possible place life could exist, it does. Moss on trees. Lichen on rocks. New trees growing out of old ones. A river full of fish, that while dying, are bringing in their bodies so many of the nutrients required to keep supporting so many living things.
