I am grateful for a normal kind of day. After a few months of crazy busyness, chased by a busy holiday season, that’s fine with me.
I am grateful for hardware stores. I needed to buy batteries for my car’s keyless remote. Walking in this morning, I was confident I could do that, and if I wanted to, could probably acquire anything else I might need to build a house or start a new civilization. And just like that, I’m living in the future, locking my car from across the street, like magic.
