I am grateful for a moment when Coop, with his newfound talent for making skulls and crossbones with  face paint, did his brother the honour of drawing a skull on his hand.

I am grateful for the retail salesperson who, when she heard Julie gasp when she got the text from me informing her that Farley had just drawn on our computer monitor with a sharpie, remarked to Julie that she should buy me a beer; because she subsequently did. Grateful for that, too.

I am grateful that the sharpie that Farley used to draw on our computer monitor rubbed off with isopropyl alcohol.

I am grateful for a fantastic night with good food and good people, and an opportunity for our kids to play with a friendly cat, and generally great vibes and child induced chaos at our friends’ house tonight.
