I am grateful for time spent with my kids putting them down at bedtime.

I always read Farley a story still, but Coop usually reads his own book in the top bunk while that happens. Last night, he wanted to be in the bottom bunk with Farley and I while I read. After I was done, he wanted to read a story, one about Amelia Bedelia. That one required explanation for Farley, which he patiently did when Farl asked questions. About part way through, Farley wanted to be closer to see the pictures, and so in the end I was on one end of the bed watching my big kid read to his little brother, who was in turn giving his big brother his undivided attention.

If that’s not nice, what is?
