I am grateful for a great day.
I am grateful for a short walk in Mt. Revelstoke National Park and a visit to Lake Louise.
I experienced the feeling of openness and relief that I always have when I descend from the mountains into the foothills and see the place where the prairies begin. The only thing I’ve found that’s like it is the similar sensation I feel when I first drive of the ferry at Swartz Bay onto Vancouver Island. Both are like a breath of fresh air for me. Grateful for that.
We arrived at my parent’s place in Calgary and were shortly joined by my brother and sister-in-law, and my niece and nephew. I’m grateful to have seen everyone, and to see my kids get on like a house on fire with their cousins.
I am grateful for the way my folks do up dinner. It was delicious.
I am grateful to be here, in the same place I grew up. It grounds me. Much has changed about this town since I was a kid, but lots hasn’t, and i’m glad I can come back once in a while.
